Sumino-san is very humble while stating that his universe is small. It is for sure much wider than he thinks. He is not only a pianist but total musician living music with his whole heart, body and soul.
Wow, very well said. He is indeed humble. He is becoming very popular internationally but still I can feel he just wants to remain a normal person and still connect with his audience in a very human and personal way.
Sumino-san is firm on the ground in spite of his international successes and being overbooked worldwide during this and next year. He is fine and kind personality which I was convinced of when I met him in person while asking for his autograph after his recital at Split last year which by the way ended with his uncomparable Bolero. Everything was unforgetable and I still remember his sparkling eyes and charming smile. I truly believe in him hoping for his health to endure so much traveling and so many performances, although he is still young and even brighter future is ahead of him. @@ksenijacizek5901 Really cool that you got to meet him. We tried to get tickets for his performance at the Budokan this year, but we weren't able to win the ticket lottery. We certainly will try again next time he's in the Tokyo area.
Good luck, next time. It is new to me that there was a lottery for the tickets as it is usual for Hanyu-san's solo ice shows. The interest must have been huge because Budokan has some 15000 seats.
